I couldn't agree with you more Rich. There is no need to kill those big fish. Parent Lake needs to put a length restriction on that lake like almost every lake, river or resovoir in Canada.

That post by mitch was one of the most a******* posts that I have ever seen. First of all, there are millions of fish in Parent Lake. You just have to know where to go and what to use under specific conditions. Second, I have never seen an otter in my many years at the lodge but there are quite a few beavers in the rivers that flow into the lake. Third, there was a tornado that hit a lodge in Ontario but I don't know that anyone was killed. Fourth, there are some huge black bears in the area around Parent Lake that could kill you just as easily as a polar bear. Fifth, If you were any kind of a hunter you would know that polar bears inhabit the northern most region of North America. How can you be afraid of otters but not scared to hunt a polar bear? I think that about sums it up Mitch.

I assume that our e-mail by Mitch in New Jersey which was not sent it to us on May 17, 2009. If This is in reply to an e-mail by Mitch in New Jersey: you have never looked at the Lodge in the past 10 vears or read any of the e-mails from our guests. You really do not know anything about the Lodge. If this is a real message, you might get some accurate information before sending a note like this. And please send your e-mail address so we can send you correct information. By the way, there are no polar bears this far south in Quebec. Wayne and Peggy

I heard that there aren't any fish left in Parent Lake. Someone told me that they were all caught this year and kept. The ones that were released were either caught and kept by someone else or eaten by otters. I heard also that a tornado hit a fishing lodge up in the area and killed 3 people. Is this really true? I was thinking of bringing my family up to the lake next year but I don't want to come if your area is infested with otters and there's a chance that I might get hit by a tornado. I saw that you have bear hunts but wanted to see if you could get me a polar bear in your area. I don't want to sit in a stand and wait for some small black bear to come to me. If you have a good indian guide and a dogsled team Im sure we could work something out.

Glenn, I live 12 hours away and dont have the money to purchase such a wondeful place. I dont even fish there anymore but understand the importance of catch and release of any trophy species. If you watched any fishing show on TV maybe you would understand.

Well Mike and Rich, why don't the both of you buy the place and fulfill your happiness of catch and release? You talk about it all the time, so do something about it....you know its for sale.
