The Lodge at Parent Lake
The Friendliest Camp in the North
The Lodge at Parent Lake owners are Wayne
and Peggy Werner. They live in Texas in the winter and will be at
The Lodge all summer. Wayne and Peggy have many years experience
operating Camps and Conference Centers and both love to fish.
We rent cabins, boats and have a limited number of motors available
for rent also. Our store is open mornings an evenings and items that we do not stock,
such as beer and liquor, etc, are available in Senneterre, only 6 miles away. All of
the stores in Senneterre are open 6 days a week; some are also open Sunday afternoon.
There are several restaurants in Senneterre if you choose not to cook all your meals.
There are many attractions in our camp and area for the non-angler including prospecting, collecting, driftwood, rocks, Indian
relics, picnicking, boating, swimming, sightseeing and just loafing.
Our store is open every morning and evening. We have basic
groceries, fishing tackle, souvenirs, and snack food as well as night crawlers,
frozen minnows and ice. We have boat gas in 6 US gallon jerry cans, mixed or
pure. The public launch ramps at Mile 9 and Mile 20 are available to
all. We also keep boats at a private dock at the 20 Mile
mark. We also have the fish-cleaning house, and a freezer for your fish.
Exchange rates on the U.S. Dollar is about equal to the
Canadian Dollar as of May 15, 2009. This means that your U.S. money is worth about
the same in Canada.
We also sell fishing and hunting licenses, Non-resident Fishing Licenses for 2009 will cost: $62.00 for the season,
$41.00 for 7 consecutive days, $27.00 for 3 consecutive days, and $12.25 for a single day. There is also a seasonal "catch-and-release" license for $27.00.
A license holder's children under 18 can fish without a license, but their catch counts on the parent's limit. Students 18-24 can
also fish on their parent’s license as long as they have a valid student ID with them. Possession limits in our zone are 10 pike
